Tally newbie

I have an ATEM Television Studio and 2 cameras with Ikan 7" camera monitors with a Ethernet tally connector on the back. I would LOVE for my camera operators to know when they are live.

I am tally-ignorant. How does Tally function work? What do I need from my TVS to access the tally feature on my Ikan monitors?

My cameras are connected to the ATEM via HD-SDI cables.

jhill : if your Ikan monitors have tally inputs , U just need BMD Tally interface box and connect it to your monitors .. Long distances can be problem ..

I don't know your budget. When your monitors work with a closure contact for switching tally, I would give Romans idea a +1. Same effect with an Arduiono with ethernet schield and relais. But you need someone for programming an a minimum knowlege in DIY connecting electronical devices. But this is the chhepest solution.
