HDMI Out from PC to HDMI ATEM switch HDMI IN

PostFri Mar 15, 2013 1:20 pm

Hi guys,

I need to connect my notebook hdmi output to ATEM Switch HDMI input, because i need to receive a slideshow presentation from the service of the event.

The problem is:
notebook hdmi out -> monitor directly works
notebook hdmi out -> atem switch DOESN'T work

How i can resolve?

PS: winXP, or, if needed, win7 / win8

Thank you

What resolution are you running your ATEM on?

1080i50? 1080i60?

You need to set the output of your laptop to the same resolution AND framerate!!

Some laptops can not be forced into 50 hz output. They will do 60 70 80 Hz only.

I have a nvidea card in my system and i'm able to go to 50 Hz

I was able to connect my linux box (intel HD3000/sandy bridge) to my TVS in 1080i50 mode.
the only thing I have is that the ATEM sends tons of modes in the EDID when it should really send only one (the currently running mode).

Hi,

On certain Windows models, you might have to choose 25hz instead of 50hz for 50i. We have an old Windows laptop here which we can hook it up to the ATEM. However, it only can run as 1080 @ 25hz and somehow it works well. I'm not too sure if this will work for you.

For Mac, it's more straightforward as all you need to choose is 1080 and 50hz.
