Hyperdeck Shuttle No Audio on Playback

I am having an issue with Audio Playback from a Hyperdeck Shuttle.

I am trying to play a 1080i59.94 ProRes 422 HQ file back, the video plays just fine, but there is no audio.

The file plays back just fine in QT on my MBP, but I get no audio when it is played out of the Hyperdeck (i've tried both the SDI and HDMI with no success).

I am using FCPX to export the files to the SSD.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Is your audio 16 or 24 bit uncompressed at 48kHz? I don't believe any other audio formats are supported.

File shows Linear PCM when exported.

I'm using FCPX I'm not sure how to get uncompressed 16 or 24bit.

It does show Stereo L/R, 48khz on the export window.

Just opened the file in QT and this is what it shows...

Looks like the audio should play back OK. I notice your Video is 720p, is it playi g back OK?

Okay, after 6 hours of head scratching, I found the trick;

In FCPX: Export your video normally (or by using the send to compressor function), then open it in Compressor, once it's opened, you must change the audio bit rate to 16 BIT. Then export it from Compressor and it will play in the Hyperdeck.

NOTE: 24 BIT WILL NOT WORK. (24 bit is the native output from FCPX)

OK, good to know that works. I useually just playback files I recorded in the Shuttle to begin with. Nice feature to be able to get FCPX files to playback.
