Audio Monitoring on ATEM Production Studio 4k

PostThu Jun 22, 2017 4:46 am

What would be the best way to monitor audio on the ATEM Production Studio 4k without adding any converters or audio mixers? I was thinking PGM out with audio embedded on a monitor.... Is there any other way? Has the ATEM software control capability for audio monitoring (on the laptop)?

Take your multiviewer monitors minijack output.. The audio is put on the HDMI of the multiviewer..

I'd be concerned about lip slip when comparing the audio on the MV and watching PGM.

This assumes that you're following an SDI output workflow.

You could also invest in a HDMI to VGA converter that has audio support.
Plug adaptor into HDMI PGM output.
Plug headphone amp into the audio output of the converter. (assuming you need headphone support)
Plug headphones into amp.
Listen to audio. Works great. A bit hacky, but pretty cheap.
Not knowing the scale of your setup (small rig, or large monitor for MV)
You can also employ something like a Marshall 702w it is a 3RU 2up monitor that has headphone out for both sides. AND scopes. Only drawback is it only supports 3G level A
