Huge problems! Decklink's cards bricked

PostSat Jul 15, 2017 8:33 pm

Hello

I have 2 huge problems

My specs

HP z400
Six core xeon
32gb RAM
GTX960
Windows 7 pro 64

Decklink extreme 4k
Decklink duo
Decklink intensity

Desktop video 10.8.5

Tonight I was making some sdi out test with my cards and Vmix

I assigned the program output to decklink extreme sdi out, and all works good.
Even, I had a camera connected in the sdi input and got the program in the sdi output, great!

The troubles begin when I tried the same in the decklink duo
First, no output
I realized that I had assigned the camera in the input, I unassigned it. No output
Well, it is ok, I said, so I rolled back, output to decklink extreme, camera input in the duo, and no video input in the duo input 1
The duo input 2 worked fine, but input 1 nope.
I closed the Vmix, and got the dead blue screen...
Rebooted, no video input in the decklink duo channel 1. I tried in theBM media express, same results
All other cards inputs are working, but the number 1 input to the duo none.
I tried testing the nº1 output and I got video, the nº 1 input camera is present in the nº1 output, but the image is not entering in any software.
And every time that I closed a capture software, got the blue screen.

I tried to up and down the firmware, same results.

Pulled out the duo and I tested it in my 2010 Mac Pro, and the same results.

2º problem

When I was upgrading a firmware, the power was off, and I bricked the Decklink Intensity. It is not being recognized in both machines, HP or Mac pro

Please help!!

I has been in touch with BM support, Brett Smylie.

After doing all suggested test, I was ready to send it to RMA facility in USA.

Last weekend, some really odd things happens

I was working at home in my pc, the HP one with windows 7 and Vmix software, doing some keyboard shortcuts adjust.
Then, I needed to plug a camera, to check the adjustment with image.
By mistake, I plugged the camera in the Decklink duo input, the one with the problem.

And voila! image again!
Then, it begin to flick and gone..
Reboot and seems to be ok in Vmix and Media Express. After a while flick and gone, and blue screen.
I restarted the the pc, and the input was ok again, no flick.
Pull it out, and tested it in the MACPRO, and all fine again

Bring back to the pc, and I downgraded the firmware to 10.5.4, and then upgraded again the 10.8.5.

So far, the card is working fine, all day plugged and fine, I don’t know why..

Clue, the HP pc was unplugged from the AC socket all the last week

The Intensity pro remain bricked...

You emailed back during non-office hours and thus didn't receive an email back as of this time. The CSA is working through the tickets and will reach out to you.
