BMD Mini Converter Optical Fiber 4K

Hi!

Anybody using BMD Mini Converter Optical Fiber 4K with 1080p5994?

I have six of them and I cannot force any to work with that signal. 1080i5994 - works, 1080p2997 - works, 1080p5000 - doesn't work also.

I've tested it using ATEM2 output, TVOne C2-2855A output and Teranex.
Cables are OK. Right now i'm outputting 1080p5994 from TVOne and BMD Optical Fiber only blinks SDI Lock LED. If I swap Optical Fiber to ordinary SDI to HDMI Heavy Duty - it works ok so source and cable is good. Swapping back to Optical Fiber - no lock.

Also tested it with Level A and Level B. Nothing helps...Connecting Optical Fiber to upgrade firmware - nothing happens...

Any ideas?

By the specs it should support it..
Have you updated the firmware of the boxes already?

My devices are not upgradeable. Downloaded latest Blackmagic Converters from BMD website, connected all of my converters and software says that device have latest available firmware.

Tried upgrading on Windows and on Mac.

Alright then it sounds like an hardware issue.. I can not this one as you have the UHD versions.. I only have the 3G versions which are different hardware.

Contact BMD service helpdesk. They will try to guide you trough some tests.. And if the result stays they will do a test at there office to see if they can re-produce this issue.

What SFP module are you using? Is it rated for HD-SDI only (1.5Gbps) or 3G-SDI (3Gbps)...

[EDIT] -- Removed the part about level A and level B, missed that you covered that. Only thing I can think of left is that the SFP is not rated for 3G.
