Decklink Duo2 latency problem

PostTue Jul 25, 2017 2:40 pm

Hi everyone.

Heres my setup.

I have a Sony xdcam 1920x1080 59.94i with a SDI run in my Decklink Duo2. My video server output with Resolume Arena5 in 1920x1080 60p

I have a really big latency between my input and my output. When someone talk on the stage and you look at the screen, the delay is horrible.

I have no clue about what could help.

Thanks if anyone can help.

Simplest way to check is to put a monitor at each point of your signal chain. Check the output from the camera, then check the output from the capture card. If those are both okay, then the issue is with Resolume, or any scaling equipment that's powering the screen.

This is a known issue of resolume.. There is a processing latency!! This + the delay in your camera, capture card and screen processor / ledwall / beamer will add up to a total that is very notishable..

If you want less delay you should think about not process your video trough a server.. But a videomixer with resolume as a source.. But yes i agree it does not deliver such nice effects that you could do within resolume. ;)
