Atem1/ Request 720p @ 25 /24 FPS

PostWed Aug 22, 2012 11:42 am

Hi

I hope i have the right thread for this.

I would like to make a request to the developers of the ATEM/1

We have the following setup.

2x Sony PMW-ex1 Cameras (great cameras BTW)
ATEM/1 Mixer
H.264 Pro Recorder
Black magic Downscaler

Currently we have the system set to 720 @ 50p.
However we do not require this high frame rate as it is going to YouTube and we re render it later as 25p. Now we could shoot at 1080p but the mixer does not support it as of now and 1080i does not look as good. Can black magic please  allow for 720 @ 25p thus allowing saved storage on both the computer and the cameras. (1080p would be great to if the hardware supports it :D )
(BTW love the audio mixer update ;) )

and PLEASE - add also QUAD screen.

not just different variations with 2+4 screens. sometime is very useful to have also quad split, for different reasons.

thanks,

I would like to add 1080p @ 30 FPS to the list. I would love to be able to use the new Blackmagic Cinema Camera when it comes out.

Well I am glad that I am not the only one who thinks the frame rates are limiting.
If Black Magic could add some more of the common frame rates that would help alot
