Blackmagic ATEM m/e 1 HyperDeck feature

PostTue Aug 15, 2017 9:58 pm

Hi guys

I'm thinking of using this setup:
1 x ATEM M/E 1 Panel
1 x ATEM television Studio HD
1 x Hyper Deck Studio Mini
1 x Hyper Deck Studio

From the Software Panel it seems like I can connect the hyperdecks easely to the television stufio hd. But Can I also use the M/E 1 panel for playing/activating/deactivating recordings from the hyperstudio?

THanks a lot

Hello Simon. You can control Hyperdecks with any ATEM switcher using the Software Control or either of the Hardware panels.

Thanks for the answers.
Is the Atem studio hd pro also capable of controlling it? As it is half switcher half mixer.

Hello Simon. The ATEM Television Studio Pro HD is capable of controlling the hyperdecks directly from it's panel using Macros. You would need to build the macros using the Software control first. Use one of the 12 available Macro keys on the panel. To control Hyperdecks without macros, you would need to use the Software Control connected to the ATEM.
