What kit do I need?

Please forgive what is almost certainly going to be a long, rambling and largely incoherent post!

I've been tasked with putting together a sort of green screen karaoke system for a client and I am currently thinking that I can achieve their requirements using three Hyperdeck Minis and a ATEM TVS, but I have a couple of questions.

The client's requirement is for two video sources, one with the lyrics which will be displayed to the punters on screen, the second will be used as a background for keyed with a live video stream through the ATEM TVS. The output will be recorded on the third Hyperdeck.

Am I correct in my belie that it is possible for the two source feeds to be started simultaneously?

The real problem that I see with this setup is with the final video. My client wants to be able to copy the video onto USB drives in a format that's readable by just about any computer. As a result, the ProRes Codec is going to cause me grief and I could really do with finding some slick way of converting to something of a lower, more widely supported standard. Any suggestions?

Is the client sure they want the customer to walk away with a USB stick drive?

You *could* go the BMD h264 duplicator route if you could migrate to SD cards. A bit overkill, but might be good for a group of people. There are other *single hole* devices that do the same thing.

As for recording directly to thumb drive - Matrox Monarch, Datavideo HDR-1 are a few options.

Thanks for the reply. I'd already looked at the BM 4k Duplicator and it certainly looks like a nifty bit of kit. I will have to see if I can screw a bit more budget from the client.
