Tie lower third to a camera (Macro?)

Hi all.

Here's what I'm looking to do:

-I have 2 cameras
-When I punch up Cam 1, I want it to show a lower third
-When I punch up Cam 2, I don't want a lower third displayed

So, every time I pull up Cam 1, I want it to display the lower third from the media player without me having to click to key the lower third on-screen.

Tech support at BMD has mentioned to me this is not possible (to tie a media player still to a camera)... but they suggested perhaps a Macro would do the trick. I'm struggling however to get this to work as a macro.

Has anyone every tried anything similar to this successfully?

Thanks!
Jon

If you are using a atem switcher and you only have those two sources then put you lower third on dsk and put the "tie" option on. This will toggle the lower third on and off with every switch.
