Mixing 3G Level A and Level B Signals on a Videohub

PostFri Sep 29, 2017 1:24 pm

Is it possible to have 3G level A and B signals on a Universal Video hub at the same time? Will I encounter any timing issues?

I don't think it would be problem.. As it does not process the video but only routes the video.

Keep in mind that you won't be able to quick switch A and B to the same output.. Some gear will only take 1 standard.. Other gear like atems need to be configured into A or B mode..
Some other gear like a decimator will auto detect and switch itself but will take some time to do so..

So having 2 different standards on 1 hub would not be a problem.. (The cleanswitch version might have a problem on the other hand.. )

You can even have SD and 1080i and 3G routing trough the same switch..
