I have Ultra Studio Mini Recorder connected, but Desktop Video app does not detect device.
OS detects that Mini Recorder is connected into the Thunderbolt port, but APP does not detect device connected.

I have tried different versions of Desktop Video, from latest 10.9.7. to 10.8.3.
Same issue with all versions. Need to get camera connected.
HELP PLEASE!!

- UltraStudio Mini Recorder connected into the Mac with TB3 to TB2 adapter (with TB2 cable)

The TB adapter cables seems to have a lot of issues.. Several reports on this forum that they don't work as advertised!!

Nearly identical situation for me..
2016 MBPro
BMD Mini Recorder
only difference is that my "Cable Firmware Version" says 1.0.16

I've been at this for over a week now and have missed out on 2 live events now.

BMD we need this to work! Please help! (It's just bizarre that macOS recognizes these devices, but the BMD software won't see them)

This is what worked for me -

Uninstall Desktop Video.

Re-install Desktop Video. Restart your computer. Immediately upon restarting, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy. Once there, you should see a special option to allow what you've just installed to run. I can't remember exactly what it says, but it will be an option beneath "Allow apps downloaded from."

I hope that works!
