DVR Recording w/ BlackMagic?

PostTue Oct 10, 2017 11:13 pm

Hi!

I oversee the video production team at my church. We currently live mix 2 cameras, 1 computer source, and audio. We then push the mixed video/audio to 3 locations - A Mac computer that records a hard copy, a Mac computer that utilizes YouTube Live, and then to a DVR system that allows us to play the mixed video in another sanctuary in semi-real time (hence the DVR). All of this is done using Volante gear.

My question is, does anyone know if there is a piece of Blackmagic hardware that acts as a DVR? I'm in the process of switching us over to BlackMagic but am hung up finding a Blackmagic piece of gear that will cooperate with our current DVR system. Any help or direction would be helpful.

Thank you!

Not exactly turn-key, but it works and I have used it to play back sermon to remote campus with 20 minute delay. https://ianmorrish.wordpress.com/2016/11/19/instant-replay-time-shift-on-the-cheap/ but we ended up with a Grass Valley T2 to be more idiot proof.
