ATEM Television Studio Pro HD & Talkback question

I am looking to put together a system for a small studio production and we currently have a Television Studio Pro HD and we are looking to get 3-4 BM Studio cams, as well. I would like to be able to use the talkback feature so our director can talk with all ops at once.

My question is, do I need to also have the Talkback converter in order for this to work or is it possible to communicate without the Talkback converter?

Also, any recommendations on affordable headsets to use for this, as well?

With the TVS HD and HD PRO you can wire them directly. SDI in 5-8 and out 5-8 Wire the outputs 5-8 back to your studio cams sdi input and you will have talkback, shading and tally.

Thanks that's what I thought but wasn't sure. So why would you need the Talkback converter? Just if we weren't using BM cams? So with this setup, how does the director talk with the operators or is the comm line just open?

If you want to go fiber, If you have the older Atem mixers.. (They don't have talkback in their hardware)
