ATEM Television Studio HD multiview output no signal

Just got the ATEM Television Studio HD today. The multiview output does not work with both HDMI and SDI output.

My setup is as following: Hyperdeck Studio Mini to input 5, Micro Studio Camera 4K to input 6, both output 1080 25p signal and display on the ATEM Television Studio HD's front LCD when input source chosen. I have tried to output the Multiview through HDMI to a HD monitor and SDI to a Blackmagic SmartView HD, both can display the Multiview's white grid lines and audio levels from both sources, however, no video is displayed on any of the windows.

Program output is fine when connecting to the SmartView HD, the only problem is Multiview output is showing no video at all.

Did you set the Atem also in 1080 P25? Sound will always pass but video will only show when you have the Atem and source running at the same resolution and framerate.

Yes, the ATEM is set to 1080p25 as well, matching the source input from Hyperdeck Studio Mini. I don't know what is wrong with my setup, everything is matched and both input source can display on the ATEM's LCD and program output just not on the Multiview.

I also tried to restart the ATEM without any input connected, and choose to display color bars, solid color in some windows of the Multiview so there should be no resolution/frame rate incompatibility problem but still the Multiview shows nothing. If I have no input on the ATEM, should the color bar show on the Multiview output?

Sometimes the Multiview windows turn all solid green or pink color, anyone experienced this?

Install an older version of atem software like 7.0 on your machine.

Test it

Install latest version software and repeat upgrade.. Test it.. Maybe something went corrupted in the firmware in your device.

Will try to "downgrade" & "upgrade" the software and report back. Thanks for the suggestion.

Downgrade the software to 7.0.2, however the ATEM Studio HD was not recognised by the older software, it says no device is connected. Manually enter IP address doesn't work as well.

"Upgraded" the ATEM HD with 7.1.2 firmware, but the Multiview still doesn't work, will update to 7.2 back with a fresh download from BM website to give it a last trial.

ATEM HD back to firmware 7.2, still doesn't work, see attached picture of the multiview. New unit is in order now.

Contact BMD support.. You could have a defective unit...

Yes, I did send a message to their support, but doesn't have any respond yet.

My ATEM Television studio HD has been working fine for 2 months now, but yesterday the multiview output suddenly failed. The boxes are drawn out, and the sound indicator works, but no pricture in any of the boxes. First also with a green look to the picture, today the green hast turned in to pink. The same faulty signal comes out both from the hdmi multiview and the sdi multiview. The program out is working fine. Same mistake with different monitors and with different cables. Tried also to unhook all cables, but still the same mistake. Anyone else experienced this? I will trade it in for a new one, but now I don't feel that I can trust this unit... and feel I have to get two for spare...

The item was faulty. Replaced by Blackmagic.

I'm having the same problem, green multiview

I also ran into this problem recently on one of my TVSHD switchers. Although I had not used this unit often, I noticed the problem after my warranty had expired. Sent it in to BlackMagic for estimate. They said it would cost more to fix then to purchase a new one. (Lesson learned... If I had used it more often , the problem may have arose before my warranty ran out and it would have been replaced for free.) oh well, Some times ya win some and some times ya loose some.

I'm from brazil and I got the same problem with my Atem studio HD.
I can see the camera image through the Atem's small front monitor but nothing on the multiview. It looks like your imagens here on this post.

How did you solve this problem?

Estoy utilizando un BM ATEM Studio Television HD en el cual no es posible visualizar ninguna imagen en las salidas Multiview (HDMI ó SDI) a pesar de ver los niveles de audio, etiquetas y grilla. Actualicé el firmware, seleccioné todos los formatos de videos con distintas fuentes, seleccioné MediaPlayer1 en cámara 7 sin tener ningún resultado. Cómo se puede detectar algún problema en el hardware? Existe algún procedimiento para definir si algún componente esta dañado?
