Blackmagic and Propresenter

Hello everyone,

My name is Juan I'm from the Netherlands.

I have a question about the use of the Blackmagic switcher and pro presenter.
What do you have to do to get the lyrics from propresenter (6) to your Blackmagic switcher.
What are the products that I have to buy or install to get it done.
These are the products that I have right now:

Blackmagic Design ATEM Television Studio
BLACKMAGIC DESIGN ATEM 1 M/E BROADCAST PANEL
Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle - USB 3.0
BLACKMAGIC DESIGN INTENSITY SHUTTLE FOR THUNDERBOLT
2 Imacs

At this moment I use 1 intensity shuttle to import the program out to pro presenter for live image thru the beamer. And the other intensity shuttle is for our live streaming thru obs.

I've read something about key's and layers but is there someone who can explain it a little more for me? And do I need to buy something extra?

Hi Juan,

There are two ways to overlay lyrics in ProPresenter

1) Luma/Chroma Key
This is simply allowing the switcher to make up the alpha/transparency channel. The benefit is it is cheaper, the downside is the key is not as clean

2) Key/Fill
This requires the purchase of the Alpha Key Module ($1000) from Renewed Vision and a card that can do alpha channels (For Example, Ultrastudio HD Mini or Ultrastudio 4k, or a DeckLink 4K Extreme). You will then run two BNCs into your switcher, one for key, one for fill). Key/fill is the best solution if you can afford it.
