No 30p In software control?

We have 3 TV Studio cameras and a ATEM m/e4k switcher in our schools studio. The cameras have option for 30 p but the software has many options, but not 30 p.

Am I missing something?

Hello Paul. 30p and 60p are not available in the ATEM switchers. The ATEMs will work at 29.97p and 59.94p. Often, however, manufacturers and users will say 30 or 60 when it actually is 29.97 and 59.94. Worth checking.

I am in a school and many students are using iPhones for their camera. They shoot 30 p.

What would you suggest is a workflow in this situation?

I also use a PMW ex1r and many recommend 30p for that.

And if the Studio Cameras have 30P setting, why doesn't the ATM Software also have it?

A bit confusing.

To give a basic answer: 30p / 60p have come as a result of the pc industry.
29.97p and 59.94p resolutions are from the broadcast industry.

Paul, and the ATEM is set up for broadcast standards, so it does not support the off frame rates alike 30p and 60p.
