Different button mapping/Lablels for each M/E?

I've recently acquired a BM 4K 2 M/E with the 1 M/E control panel. I'd like to use a laptop to control M/E 2 independently for a record feed. I'm wondering if I can re map the buttons differently or do the buttons on M/E1 have to be the same on M/E2? if that is the case, does anyone know of a work around?

Hello Bob. Each computer running ATEM control software may have it's own button mapping which is configured in the Preferences menu at the upper left of the software display. Both the 1 M/E and 2 M/E hardware panels may have separate button mapping as well. This is configured in the panel menus. Hope that helps.
