Router suggestions

PostFri Nov 17, 2017 2:14 am

I am coming into a little bit of a pickle. Starting to run out of Ethernet ports on my router
I like to have everything hard wired. But it looks like that might be a problem in some cases
I have heard about network switches that have 24-48ports. That might be enough but I just recently heard about someone using wifi range extender instead of running Ethernet cable 100 feet

So I am looking for some suggestions

I got a couple of ptz cameras. 2 run on ip but I got 2 Panasonic aw ph300 that are serial
Anyone got any ideas of connections that would work for these
Also have one Sony visca ptz camera that I can’t figure out how to connect
All the help I can get is greatly appreciated

Panasonic and sony have completely different protocols..

So you might want to pick 1 and stick to it.
Do you have controllers with those domes?

The Atem is capable of doing some simple control over Sony Visca cameras. But only if you have an official control panel with it for the moment. ;)
