In a total of 50 meeting room setup i'm trying to route DVI ( presentation from Laptop) and HD SDI signals( from a video Camera) from One of the room or from 30 rooms( through in built Extron DTP switchers;HDMI) to many rooms as overflow rooms, for cost savings I could convert all to HD SDI and use a Black magic 40 x 40 Smart Hub Matrix which will be at 100m install cable distance from the Extron.
All the above will be permanent install
Question 1: How will I go about dealing with HDCP coming out of HDMI (Ex; through Macbook), will the mini HDMI to SDI converter pass through this signal?
Question 2)
Due to distance and permanent wiring I may end up using fibre optic cabling between Extron DTP Crosspoint 84 Matrix switcher in the room to the 40x40 smart Video Hub through SDI conversions
Is there fibre optic extenders from HDMI /HDCP output from Extron to Smart Video Hub? and from HD SDI to HDMI back again to the Switcher from Smart Hub?
