New Apple TV in ATEM Production Studio 4K

PostMon Apr 08, 2013 4:19 pm

It looks like theres pictures of an Apple TV (actual TV) in the new ATEM 4K Page. It couldn't be a a Thunderbolt Display because the ATEM only has SDI and HDMI output.....

There is an LED screen suspended from the sky in the photoshop pictures on that page!

None of the images BMD use are real photos, they are all composites and often feature gear which doesn't exist.

The 2ME for example has never looked like this...

Personally I'd prefer less of the hero image crap with the time saved being spent on making the specifications of the products actually match the ones listed on the website!

With all the recent discussion of Apple making an actual TV in 2013 and even some speculation of it being 4K though, you never know...

Actually I do know.

The monitors shown in the pictures are cinema displays with the image they are "showing" added in photoshop. The BMD photoshop team have no interest in what is actually possible, so they don't mind showing a monitor which has the wrong connectors on the same page as a video device which in reality cannot ever plug into the screen shown. (just as they don't mind showing self supporting smartview screens or gravity imune LED screens)

Blackmagic do not have a secret supply of Apple TVs. If they did have any for testing then they would be under NDA and could not use a picture of it on their website.
