Hey all,

I was just wondering if anybody has tried loading the Atem Software Control on the Latte Panda. It runs full version of windows 10 and has such a small footprint.

I had an idea of mounting this in my rack with my ATEM switcher, plugging in either X-keys or even a midi controller to switch between inputs. Coz having to connect a PC/Mac to run the ATEM is sometimes just so cumbersome.

What are you thoughts?

Haven't tried that unit but a PiPo 8 or 9 is very small and includes a simple touch screen for the same price.

The only trick with x86 based CPU's is getting the ATEM software installed as the installer requires 64bit OS.

The unit is 150mm x 70mm and has a 3.5" touch screen.
Connects via ethernet.

Here is a video of it doing some Macro commands for switching between chroma keys.

I've been using a Latte Panda as part of my ATEM setup for a while now, although not for ATEM control.

The only thing I would say is that you make sure to get the 64bit version as the ATEM Software Control needs 64bit OS to run.

Or you could use a hack that Ian Morris (yeah that guy who posted above ) has worked out that means the software could run on 32bit windows (although I could personally never get it to work).

Thanks for all your inputs. the PIPO solution looks cool however, i would like connect it to either the x-keys or a midi controller without so much of having to depend on a monitor to view (basically what the ATEM TV Studio HD does right now).

John, great youtube channel... I first learnt about the Latte Panda through your walkthrough videos. keep up the great work!

Don't get me wrong, Ian - It's more a reflection of how bad I was at following the instructions

I tried this hack and it works fine with my Pipo 9. I thought, that i can control the ATEM by touchscreen, but Pipos dispaly is to small....

But with mouse, no problem.

Thomas, I have also connected $7 Arduino and $5 relay board to pipo to get tally with some free software I wrote if you are interested. Can also add buttons to the Arduino if you want a big cut/auto physical option that works regardless of active program on screen.
And if you want a Christmas project, grab one of these https://www.ebay.com/itm/Pesa-Router-RC ... 2865861415 as they are easy to hook up to an Arduino and connect to the PiPo (or any Windows PC) to control things (if you can handle a soldering iron just to attach some wires and remove some IC's)

I'm always interested in information for any kind of possible (Christmas) Projects...

My last project was an Arduino based tally converter for connecting an ATEM to a Datavideo ITC-100. Currently I'm "rewireing" my small DIY-rack (my previous "Hardware"- Project) from summer. Maybe I'll change the individual power supplys with one big central.

The next ATEM-Project will be a small hardware console, I think, also Arduino based. I'm not sure, what kind of buttons will be used. I have some dual LED-Buttons (http://www.futureelectronics.com/en/tec ... .aspx?IM=0), but unfortunately there are not in 2.54mm grid, so I must design my own PCBs.... Or I use some units like the linked PESA-Router and create an interface. I don't know.... I have less time, but a lot ideas

I'm playing around with a "intel compute card" this week. Using one of the std. docks. it looks like a great system to bury into a rack. I already us a few raspberry pi's as looping playback devices and I'm trying to get to a nice redundant 1 RU computer/playback system that can slide in after you load up a show.
