Trouble connecting to camera through H.264 Pro Recorder

PostSun Dec 31, 2017 2:46 am

I'm trying to stream to Facebook Live with a camcorder, H.264 Pro Recorder and MX Light. I can't seem to get the software to connect to the camera. When I launch MX Light and try to preview the connection reads "NO" but blinks "YES" 3x but only for a split second and then returns to "NO".

Here is a screen shot:

My connection is Canon RH80 > H.264 PR (via camera HDMI out). Then H.264 > USB.

Specs:
Refirb Dell Latitude E6510
Windows 10
H.264 Pro Recorder
MX Light v2.5.1
Desktop Video v10.2.2 (version per READ ME file in MX Light folder)

Any help would be appreciated!

Is BMDStreamingServer running? What version of Desktop Video have you got installed? The blinking "YES" means that MXLight is attempting to connect, afaik.

Thanks for the response. I've never used software like this before so please talk to me like I'm 5 years old. :)

I'm not sure if I have BMDStreamingServer running or how to check.

Run this file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Blackmagic Design\Blackmagic Desktop Video\BMDStreamingServer.exe

Thank you for that!

Somehow, MX Light software isn't even recognizing the hardware now. I have everything plugged in as before but I keep getting a message that says, "Input could not be identified".

I've restarted everything. Made sure all the connections are good. The weird thing is that when I plug in the Pro Recorder, the computer makes a sound indicating that I've plugged something in. Any ideas?
