ATEM switcher and FlashMediaLive Encoder

PostThu Sep 06, 2012 9:51 am

Hi,
I am heard that ATEM switchers encoding via USB to h.264 are not working with Flash Media Live Encoder. Can someone confirm that?

I also heard that this could be solved by using HDMI program out to Intensity Extreme on Thunderbolt and than going to Flash Media Encoder.

Does anyone got similar problem/solution for that?

its easier than that. use the prog composite out into any old usb capture card you like. quality is down a bit but unless your are streaming at 2meg a second or above no major difference.

The TVS (which has h.264 encoding) doesn't have composite output.

But yes, HDMI out to an Intensity Extreme would work.

The Intensity pro works with FMLE - we capture 720p50 from the ATEM TVS

I have tried Atem Switcher, with the FMLE - The audio would fall out of sync with the Intensity Extreme, and would not work with the h.264 encoder at all. -

LiveStream.com works seemless with them both from what I read, I have not tried it yet, we took our Atem and downscaled it to SD with a Canopus box, then I had no problems with the FMLE -

It would be nice to know how to get around the audio delay.
