Desktop Video Utility not showing existing devices Mac Sierr

PostSat Jan 20, 2018 3:22 pm

We just upgraded to Mac OSX Sierra. We have a BM Decklink Quad and two Intensity Shuttle USB 3s capturing camera videos.

Although all devices show up in Media Express, one of our Intensity Shuttle USB 3s has now stopped displaying in our main application, Wirecast 8. More puzzling, BM Desktop Video Utility does't see ANY devices and, briefly, a message saying to "update our Shuttle firmware" appeared once.
We of course can't find out anything about the devices and firmware if they don't show up.

Any insights?

Thanks.

There are a lot of issues with Sierra and BMD capture devices. The trick is somewhere in the forum. But had to do something with security that has been build into Sierra.

See the last two posts here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=64943

You need to over ride the Security settings to allow the software to install.
