SDI Cable flexible- other options- belden 1505f

PostSun Jan 21, 2018 11:22 am

Hi, I currently use a lot of belden 1505f for my cabling. I am looking for something (in the same or lower price range) for new cables. I want to get good long runs (if I can 100m @ 3g). I am looking for somethign with the same quality but a bit more flex than 1505f. 50m+ I put on a cable drum, but the shorter lengths of the 1505f are a pain to roll. I have seen some other nice heavy rubberixed rugged cables, but if anyone has particular experience with something good (and eurpean suppliers) it would be great to know.

Cheers

Try Canare 3/6G SDI cable, the most flexible cable I have used, works well for long camera cable runs also.

Teach yourself how to "over-under" wrap the cable. Then stiffness isn't such a problem.

@Denny Smith, any ideas in the cable series? Is this it?

@MambaFiber.com, There is no other way to roll cables but over and under, but no manner of rolling will change the plasticity of a cable.

No, I was referring to http://www.canare.com/ProductItemDispla ... ItemID=247, L5.5C series Ultra low loss cable or the L-5C series cable rated for 3G HD SDI.
Cheers
