comunication whit new blackmagic fiber converters

I'm building a small mobile production unit in a trailer, and i very interested in the new studio equipment, the new broadcast cameras and fiber converters, but i dont understand the comunication protocol betwen atem switchers and a multicamera setup. We need a atem talckback converter for manage the comunication whit camreas?? Or the right way is split the program signal from switcher for any camera? In the second option, i dont have option to choose comunicate whit only one camera operator? or we have to use a third party equipment? Thanks for you reply.
