UpDownCross mini converter question

Hello
,
The UpDownCross mini converter spec says it can support 3G 1080p50, does anyone know if it will pass through 50p to the output or will it always try and convert to SD, 720p or 1080i?

I would like to use one of these as a frame sync only in a 50p system. Basically to genlock/sync a 50p camera that doesn't have genlock/sync.

Thanks in advance!

I think to refine my enquiry a bit; my question would be with the processing DIP switch switched off (for no frame conversion) does the frame synchronizer section still function? Or is that part of the circuitry bypassed also?

Thanks

The Manual says it all..
I canĀ“t copy the text from the manual as it seems copy protected.. But check page 68 of the Blackmagic Mini Converters manual.
"" ALL conversions are bypassed "" As seen from the image.. It bypasses the frame re-sync, Format converter and Standards conversion.. So you can use it as a SDI splitter..

But also in the manual.. 1080P50 input > 1080P50 output.. Switch 123 on

Keep in mind the UpDownCross does have a delay when used this way.. Not sure how big the delay is. But could be easily up to 1 frame or even more.. They didn't put a Audio Delay in there for nothing.. ;)

I was even suprised by the Audio delay.. As this is the first box i encounter that has an Audio delay build in.. Atems not even compensate for processing delay...... :?
