Live Recording

PostFri Mar 09, 2018 10:56 pm

Hi,

I hope this is in the correct forum. I have a requirement to record live events, not live broadcast them, for editing later in Resolve.

The events are in clubs and theatres with 100-200 seating capacity, so quite small.

I have the following cameras/equipment I have picked up, mainly ex-demo:
  • Ursa Mini Pro 4.6K
  • Micro Studio Camera 4K
  • Micro Cinema Camera
  • Pocket Cinema Camera
  • Video Assist
  • Video Assist 4K

I am looking for suggestions on the best use of the equipment. At the moment I am thinking:
  • Micro Studio Camera 4K connected to the Video Assist 4K as a master static camera
  • Ursa Mini Pro 4.6K on a tripod being used to zoom in for shots on band members etc
  • Micro Cinema Camera as a static side of stage or near stage camera setup with the Video Assist then left recording on the internal media
  • Pocket camera for roaming shots on stage, of the audience etc.

I know syncing it all up is going to be a pain, but I am planning on leaving all the cameras running once they start to make it easier then cut out the clips I need.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Graham
