Micro converter approx. run time on USB battery?

PostWed Mar 21, 2018 3:38 am

I just bought a Micro Converter HDMI to SDI. I probably will have to run it off of a USB battery. Can anyone give me an approximate run time on them from your use (and provide battery size)?

OR, if no one has real world experience with doing this, can you check my math below?

It pulls 1.6W. Email from a rep said 2W, so I'm going to use the 2W figure to be on the safe side.

The power supply that comes with it is 5V and the device operates at 4.4V to 5.25V DC. So the battery should put it at 5V, right?

Using those figures, I came up with 0.4 Amps at this site:

Then I used the formulas from this site. I figured it up with using a 5,000 mAh battery capacity.

With that formula, I came up with 12.5 hours. Figure in 80% efficiency, and you get 10 hours with a 5,000 mAh battery.

Does that look correct?
