HDMI Loop Out

PostTue Mar 27, 2018 5:48 pm

I am running live video into the SDI input and a ProPresenter screen into the HDMI input and switching between the two during live broadcast. The HDMI loop out goes to my projector. This works fine with my older Macbook Pro but not with my new one. Is the HDMI Loop Out active or passive? I am wondering if the loop out is adding too much loss to the HDMI circuit. If I plug the projector into the laptop directly it works fine. Only a problem when I use the loop out.

Well this should be an active loop out.. A manufacturer as BMD can't get away with a cold split.. This is only "" Done "" by chinese maunfacturers..

What can be the thing is that you send out a little bit different signal with the new mac. Tiny detaild like 59.94 vs 60hz which can trow off one of the chips inside the webpresenter..

Did you ever get this working?
We are having the same problem, older Mac Book Pro with built in cdmi works fine, but newer one with usb-c ports and using Apple HDMI adapter doesn't work
