Culinary/Cooking studio set-up questions

PostWed Apr 11, 2018 7:15 pm

I've been asked to wire a culinary arts room in order to allow our teachers/students to do cooking shows. This is the list of equipment that I am going to suggest. One question/unresolved issue that I have: the 3 Blackmagic Design Micro Studio Cameras are going to be mounted in various locations on the ceiling, so is there any way to power them on remotely? I would appreciate any suggestions.

Switcher/recorder:

1. ATEM Production Studio 4K: $1695: https://www.adorama.com/bmaps4k.html
a. Cameras(3): Blackmagic Design Micro Studio Camera 4K: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/ ... amera.html
b. Lenses: Panasonic Lhttps://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product ... /accessory
c. Teranex Mini Recorder.
d. Rack mounted audio mixer: I think it would be best to connect the mics to an audio mixer and sending its output to the ATEM (ie https://www.adorama.com/sosrpx100.html). Any advice on this would be appreciated.
e. Audio/microphones: (2) $800/each Sennheiser G3: https://www.adorama.com/seew100eg3g.html

They want the cooks/teachers to be able to switch between the 3 mounted cameras with foot pedals.

1. Headless PC to run Control Software/Just Macros. Will be used to set-up the pedals. The control software for the switcher will be run from another computer.

2. Pedals (3): http://xkeys.com/accessories/CommercialFootSwitches.php I would get them in different colors. $40 each.

b. USB interface: http://xkeys.com/xkeys/xkswi.php

3. JustMacros/Guide: https://secure.justmacros.tv/default.as ... Link=20942 Thanks to JustMacros for answering some of my questions about this.

Thanks
