switch preview mode ON on the Hyperdeck Studio/Mini

Hi,

After having played videos tracks (by pressing start/stop buttons) on the Hyperdeck Studio or Hyuperdeck Mini, if I want to switch the preview mode ON, I am forced to record a little garbage video (by pressing record/stop buttons).
Is there a way to do that more efficiently?
If not, would it be possible to develop such a possibility? (for exemple by pushing a long time the STOP button, or something like that?)

(for my daily use, I wrote a little script that use the tcp interface to do that)

You need to, to set the hyperdeck in the right resolution / framerate.. Would be nice if the hyperdeck would do that itself.

In fact, I don't think there is a really need for the Hyperdeck to write any data on the ssd/sata disk in order to detect video settings.

The problem is not technical (It is already possible to switch Hyperdeck in preview mode without writing any file through the tcp command "preview: enable: true" ), it's rather a problem of ergonomy.

On the studio version, you can simply press the "input" button to switch from stop to live video without recording.

On the Hyperdeck Mini, you only need to hit the Record button once to place in EE or Preview mode. It will not record. Pushing a second time will record. It will take a second or so to switch the internal electronics. The Other Hyperdecks have an Input button that do this.

Garry, some feedback on this. Very annoying when Hyperdeck is remote and you are using the broadcast panel to control record. You press the record button and nothing happens. You can't see the Hyperdeck screen and may not know that you have to press record a second time.
