Special Splittscreen for live production in 16: 9 and 1: 2?

PostSun Apr 22, 2018 9:04 pm

Hello everyone!

I have a task that I unfortunately can not solve adhoc, maybe someone can help me please?

I need the following set-up for a live event on a projector which displays the picture in 16: 9.
I have two sources, a PowerPoint / Keynote (source 16:9) and a recording of the speaker (source 16:9) and they should be displayed in such a splitscreen.

Here is a PowerPoint in 16: 9 and a live video in 1: 2 ??? shown in the split screen.

How can you realize something like that? Is there any "box" there ;-) by BlackMagicDesign what can it do?
Or any video card from BlackMagicDesign with which you can mix / splitt two of these SDI and / or HDMI sources?
Or any software that can do this?

Thanks for your help!

Get a 1ME or 2ME switcher. Activate the DVE and crop a 16:9 source to the 1:2 you need..

Make markers for the cameraman on his preview screen so he has a guide where he needs to keep the speaker between..

The powerpoint might be a issue to get left justified.. But depends on how the content is made..

Maybe just go a 2ME and use Supersource to fix that issue. ;)
