I need to connect a couple of Windows 10 pc's to an ATEM Production Studio 4K.
As the ATEM Production Studio 4K has no scaler, the pc's must use the same resolution as all other equipment, 720p50 in my case.
However, I ran into the issue that even I set the Windows resolution for the DisplayPort output (which I convert to HDMI) to 720p50, it actually outputs a 1080/50 signal, but shows the image (on a TV/monitor) as 1280x720 resolution. So the output is like an upscaled signal.
I verify this in two ways: With a TV which shows the signal type when pressing the info button, and by a SDI/HDMI tester which shows the signal type in its display. Both show 1080/50.
The issue is the same with several pc's, all running Windows 10 version 1803 (the newest at the time of writing): Lenovo X230 and T430, and HP Zbook. Same problem with Intel HD Graphics and Nvidia.
I have tried installing the Intel or Nvidia driver from the vendors webpage and setting the resolution directly in their software. Same problem.
Then I took a Lenovo T430 with Windows 7 which haven't seen Internet for years. It outputs 720p50 as soon as I set this resolution in Windows.
Anyone found how to force anything else than 1080 in Windows 10?
