Videohub Delays.. Wanting to learn how to minimize

PostThu Jun 21, 2018 2:50 pm

We just installed the 40x40 videohub & noticed immediately, that when we would change between sources (Canon HF G30, iMac feed, Program feed from ATEM TV Studio Pro 4k, etc) to a destination (TV, projectors) there is a significant delay before the source is displayed. The destination sometimes gets the new source immediately, not often, or more often than not there is a black screen for up to 6 seconds before the new source feed is displayed.

What can I do to minimize/eliminate the delay?

Main goal: To send a signal to any display. Examples, with the push of a button send a video signal from our video switch to TVs to create an overflow room.

You may wish to employ the "Clean Switch 12x12" to solve this issue. Or, if you are not using the Aux output, use that to switch sources going to your overflow.

Hi.
The problem are not in the router, it will change the signal exactly when you press the button. The problem are that your signals are not in sync. Your displays take time to resync to the new signal and sometimes that goes faster and other times it takes longer. In order to get what you want you need either a router that can sync your source before it send out the signal to your displays. Use rogersuski:s suggestions to solve your problem.
