Hi everyone,
Could do with some advice on the best route to take...
I'm shooting some material with an old broadcast camera from the late 80's (Sony DXC 3000) and want to get the very best possible quality out of it.
As far as I can see, my options are to record straight to an original tape deck from the era, such as a U-matic and then convert the tape or, probably easier, go from the cameras BNC composite video-out into a Blackmagic analogue to digital converter and then on into a recorder such as a hyperdeck.
My main query is, does it make any real difference converting to standard SDI or using a higher spec such as 12G-SDI? Considering this old analog camera is only outputting 520 lines - will the 12G-SDI give me a better picture?
