PTZ camera control from ATEM with software?

Hi,

We've just constructed a few pan tilt cameras, using a basecam gimbal with a serial converter to control the pan and tilt from the BMD Micro Studio 4k. (thanks to several other posters on the forum about PTZ controls... ;-0) (see a couple of the photos below...)

These work well, the ATEM 1 M/E Advanced panel joystick controls the ATEM switcher, which passes the RS422 signal over the SDI return to the camera... (after the acceleration and deceleration curves were accounted for ;-))

A couple of questions...

Memory set and recall, can this be done from the Advanced panel? Could find anything about that...

The problem is that its hard to have multiple people, ie director and PTZ operator crowding around the same desk...

Is there any software control that controls the ATEM (to output over SDI to the camera) the PTZ controls. (like the hardware panel does).. We don't want to use a signal injector (ie 3G-SDI shield injector).

The documentation on PTZ control via the ATEM seems to be hidden. (well I haven't found it documented yet, unless I've missed something.) Possibly someone might know the protocol?

I guess what we're aiming for is a computer joystick or touch screen to control the positioning via the ATEM switcher...

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance :)
