it would be nice to have an audio overlay on the SmartScope Duo Video Preview similar to the multiviewers. I know you can do the audio meters but it would more beneficial to have the audio and video on the screen.

Don't count on it..
Probably the product will be replaced with a 12G version with some more functionality in the near future..

Still do not think this will happen, the SmarView 4K has 12G SDI and no audio meter overlay. BM seems to take the normal Pro Broadcast workflow, with separate devices for video monitor, scopes, and audio monitoring on three different devices, each dedicated to their function.
SmartScope Duo, can work as a scope on one side and separate video monitor on the other, or as two scopes, displaying Vector on one and Waveform on the other, add a Smartview 4K for video monitor and the Audio Monitor, and you got all three, each dedicated to its primary task.

Would be better to have Waveform, Scope, etc. on ATEM MV output
