ATEM Studio Pro setting up first time to a MAC

PostThu Aug 16, 2018 2:33 pm

I am new to the ATEM and I am trying to connect it to my MAC so I can add graphics. Do I need to use Ethernet? Or can I use a USB? I have connected it with USB and was able to update the firmware on the ATEM and change the IP. However my Mac still shows no device detected. I’ve read the manual but I’m not seeing what I’m doing wrong. Any videos out there for setting up via MAC?

Hello John. The ATEM needs to be connected via Ethernet to the computer for control. USB is only for firmware updates. You might find the section in the manual "Plugging In Your Computer" useful.

Thanks Gary, I read that section but I did not see that it said you could not use the USB, only that it said to use the Ethernet. So I was confused since it was seeing the unit when it was connected via USB, but not doing everything.
