ATEM Lower thirds effects

PostMon Sep 10, 2018 11:58 am

Hi....I am using ATEM Television Studio for my church live streaming services along with displaying on projection systems.
Need to know if we can flyin/flyout from left or right - lower thirds. Currently its only fadein and fadeout.

Thanks

Check out the "DVE Transitions" section of the manual, it sounds like the sort of thing you're looking for.

Hello Prabodh. The original Television Studio (6 input) does not have this capability. The current Television Studio HD/Pro/4K (8 inputs) have this capability.

One workaround is to play the lower thirds from an external source insted of using the internal mediaplayer.

Using a „graphics-computer“ you can use the possibilities of the used software e.g. Powerpoint or specialized CG-software like ProPresenter or CasparCG (a professional free software).

You can also design a lower third e.g. with AfterEffects and store the video in the right videoformat on a Hyperdeck Mini.

Or you can do a hybrid solution with one common moving backgraound from external device and static text from the media player, which will be faded in, when the intro stops.

You can do this with PowerPoint. The simplesupers app generates an alpha channel and outputs key and fill. Use PowerPoint animations as lower thirds, fly in, fade in, etc.
