No Device Connected

PostWed Sep 12, 2018 2:34 am

Hello everyone. I am in the process of trying to set up my church's new ATEM Television Studio HD. I downloaded the software to control the switcher from a laptop (Acer Spin 3. Simple convertible touch screen laptop). I hooked it all up, connected via USB and Ethernet cable (through a usb converter; the laptop doesn't have an Ethernet port, so I had to purchase a usb adapter). When I connected the switcher and ran the ATEM Setup the software recognized the switcher and installed new firmware. It also shows it as being connected via usb and Ethernet (has both icons when connected).

However, when I launch the ATEM Control Software, I get the No Device Connected error and it prompts me for the ip address. I checked the switcher and the ip address shown is the one showing on the switcher as well. It just won't connect. If I try to change it on the switcher, I can go back in to the ATEM Setup and it recognizes the new IP address. But it still won't connect.

What am I missing here?

Hi CMC,

If you navigate to "Settings" on your ATEM HD and the settings read:
IP Address: 192.168.10.240
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.10.1

Then on your computer, setup the Ethernet settings manually as follows:
IP Address: 192.168.10.241
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Router: 192.168.10.1

**The thing that worked for me was changing the 192.168.10.240 to 192.168.10.241 on the PC, but leaving the 192.168.10.240 on the ATEM HD**

Let me know if that did the trick.

Cheers -George
