Mini Recorder not working with Macbook Pro USB C

I have a new Macbook Pro with USB-C/TB3 ports, and I got the BM UltraStudio Mini Recorder and a TB2 to TB3 cable and have not had any success. I downloaded BM Desktop Video and the converter driver, and I'm not sure what I'm missing. My goal is to take a video camera HDMI into the Mini Recorder and into my laptop to stream/record through Zoom, OBS, or another application. I saw several other similar topics, but I didn't see a solution to this specifically so I hope I'm not duplicating. Thanks in advance!

Not sure whether I should delete this or not, so I'll reply here just to be sure. My issue was resolved after I discovered the Thunderbolt 2 to USB-C cable I had wasn't Thunderbolt 3 on the USB-C end as it was advertised Be sure you check and get quality cables. Not all USB-C cable connectors are Thunderbolt (3).
