Recording from a Decklink card in H.264

PostTue Oct 02, 2018 2:38 pm

I wanted to record a live event, through a camera connected via SDI straight to my Decklink Card on my PC.
The signal is 1080p50, i wanted to record to my hard disk in H.264 codec or some other high quality compressed codec.

Does any body know any software that can do this?

Thanks

Most of the software geared toward streaming is capable of recording to disk (in H.264 format since that is the standard for streaming).

Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) would be one popular (and free option) that includes built-in support for DeckLink video sources.
