Intensity shuttle usb hangs

The device lacks reliability as I have to restart laptop if it does not show up as connected. After restarting it starts showing up as connected.

Video gets freezes after 20-30 minutes of usage.

1) Camera - Sony HDV V1P
2) Output - 1080i
3) Software - Vmix / OBS
4) Laptop - Dell G7 I72.2 GHZ 8th generation, 1060 6 GB video card, 16 GB ram
5) Connection is though HDMI cable

Please let me know if there is a problem with my shuttle or the laptop I am using or is it related to the software

And also how it can be fixed ?
