ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K and the SDI outs.

PostWed Oct 24, 2018 12:17 am

I'm planning on purchasing an ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K. Question, can the 1-8 outs be used as regular program outs like the "main SDI program out" or are they specific to a return feed containing talkback, tally and camera control info? In other words could I send the 1-8 unused outs to Hyper Decks, overflow rooms reference monitors etc... and if I can are they upstream (clean Feeds) or program out?

thanks,

Rick

Do you know if it's a clean feed or downstream program?

Thanks,

No. It is a exact copy of the program output. You can not send or change anything to them except for Minus audio mode which does kill the feedback audio from talkback. ;)

While these ports are normally designed for sending PGM to the cameras for remote control. They are also very useable for PGM distribution to hyperdecks, streamers, rooms, tv's etc etc.
