1Beyond cameras + ATEM

My institution is finally allowing me to get some new cameras. I really want to try the 1Beyond autotracker. It's pricey but is also a two for one camera. Anyway I spoke to a rep at the company and they mentioned...

I think the the formats that should work from our camera for with the ATEM is 720p50, 1080p25, 1080p50 depending on which model ATEM you have. Otherwise something like a Decimator should help.

Now I am not in a PAL region and this company is based in my state (Massachusetts). The camera is supposed to have available 1080p60/50/30/25, 1080i60/50, 720p60/50. I tried to clarify as to why they would not work in NTSC formats and am not getting solid info other than using a decimator. This is a $6k camera and I hate to think about adding decimators for every channel. In this case it would be three of them. I know the ATEM can be picky but what's the deal here? Anyone have any experience? Thoughts?

Based on that information from them, the only formats supported by our ATEM would be the 50 and 25 fps settings. SDI will only accept the exact signal the ATEM is set to so you would be limited to those particular fps options on the camera other than going with something like our UpDownCross HD Mini Converter or a third party option.

Thanks Tony. It "clicks" now for me. Would I have the same issues with ATEM Television Studio or ATEM Television Studio Pro?

All the current ATEMs have the same HD format support so that would be correct.
