Livestreaming with only Micro converter?

Hi!

I have been offered to buy the SDI to HDMI Micro Converter and ive been thinking about it for a while. But the only need i may have for it is to livestream on youtube and facebook with my Cinema camera. so the question is, can i do so, only using the Micro Converter and have the SDI in my camera and the USB go into my PC or do i need another type of converter for this kind of usage?

That converter isn't a capture device. You need a DeckLink, Ultrastudio, or the Web Presenter.

The USB port is there only to power the device and for the odd firmware update that BMD put out every so often for the converter range.
