Video Assit Not Recognizing Card

PostWed Jan 23, 2019 3:56 am

Hello,

I am having issues with my Video Assist recognizing a card pulled from the approved list. The card in question is a SanDisk Extreme PRO 256 - SDSDXPA-256G-G46. From what I gleaned from other forum posts as well as the official card list, this card should work. But the VA will say "loading" then "No card".

I've updated the VA to the latest firmware.

After calling SanDisk at the request of BlackMagic, I was informed that even though the packaging on the box the card card came in says "SDSDXPA...", because the card itself says V30, it is actually in the SDSDXXG line, according the SanDisk rep on the phone. Translated, I got unlucky in the card draw. So, my current issue ends up being the same as the one detailed in this thread below:

So based on what I'm reading and being told on various support phone calls, I can either try and buy cards that are no longer being made, or sell my original Video Assistant and buy the 4K model. Ouch.
